Realtor Tracie Parzen, a 1999 University of Texas graduate, uses her experiences as a world traveler and her background in sales to connect with clients in Houston’s diverse market.
“I chose the real estate industry because it’s all about taking care of people and guiding them through one of the biggest changes in their lives,” said Parzen. “My philosophy about sales is that it’s not really about sales. It’s about advocating for my clients’ needs, first and foremost.”
Tracie went to high school at Singapore American School after moving there with her family at age 17. That first trip abroad sparked her interest in travel and world culture. This passion would lead her, after four years of teaching elementary school, to an Italian island on the Amalfi Coast. During her years living in Italy, she also developed an interest in fine wine, a pursuit that would ultimately become her first job in sales when she returned to the U.S.
Today, she points to her experiences in Europe and Asia as what inspired her to work in sales, a world built on relationships.
“I loved getting to know people from all over the world,” Parzen said. “I have always had an intense curiosity about the world and discovery gives me energy.”
When her first daughter was born, Parzen chose to stay home, and then built two highly successful home-based businesses. With this additional business experience, marketing and client care has become her forte.
“I know how to take care of my clients and really listen to what they want. It’s always been the number one way that I’ve been able to fulfill their needs. Teaching showed me that patience and listening are the keys to helping people feel confident in their decisions,” she said.
The real estate industry has fueled Parzen’s love to continue building bridges with the world around her.
